Delicious Library 2.0 has expanded and added a whole bunch extra thingies, which I'll gladly use.

This is how the desktop looks like now. Initially it had the most basic layout, just after when the Mac was set up (obviously). Everything needed to be installed yet. And after getting a LaCie 500 GB external HDD for Time Machine it was pimpin' time.
And this is what I did:
- First of all, no theme has been used, just a very extensive icon and overall customizing.
I used CandyBar 3 (http://www.panic.com/candybar)
- Let's start with the Dock: adapted with their own application, adding spacers and Revamped (http://www.leoparddocks.com/index.php)
- The music app on the desktop and menubar is CoverSutra 2.1.2 (http://coversutra.com)
- The Adium (http://www.adiumx.com) skin is HUD (http://www.adiumxtras.com/index.php?a=xtras&xtra_id=4999) and the icon is iMac 4G (http://www.adiumxtras.com/index.php?a=xtras&xtra_id=4615)
- The general icons are Alumi, practically everything Aqua has been changed into it (http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/details.php?id=1980)
- The Superman Returns icon is for my iPod Video, which I appropriately named Kal-El (http://www.supermanhomepage.com/multimedia/multimedia.php?topic=icons)
- Black Finder icon (http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/details.php?id=1420), my most important "colour".
- Black Safari icon (http://machappens.com/2007/11/24/safari-icon), it took me a while to find this, so enjoy!
- Black Firefox icon (http://machappens.com/2007/11/24/firefox-icon)
- Black & Blue iPhoto and TextEdit (http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/details.php?id=1863), almost every app in its set has been used to modify
- Followed by trivial map icons of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (one of my favourite movies), Star Wars, The Simpsons Movie and Kill Bill... I'm quite the movie buff...

- And Bins for the Trash Can (http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/details.php?id=713)
- Last, but not least: the wallpaper is A Little Motivation (http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/details.php?id=1223)
So we got ourselves the latest update of the iMac, a 20" 2,66 Ghz, which was introduced a few posts under this before. It's now all set up with my 4 year old PowerBook G4 next to it, both posing sleekly. These are breathtaking pieces of state-of-the art functional design that makes me salivate...
It's not standing in my room, but in my sister's, explaining all the girlie stuff. I'll show my PowerBook set-up later on perhaps.
Unpacking an Apple product is always great fun, which feels like tearing out an expensively well wrapped Christmas present. And man, it really comes close to that merry feeling. I had the same impression when I took out my PowerBook and iPod Video. I might post those unpacking photo's as well... if I can find them that is.
Another piece(s) of hardware was required to boost the sound of my art projection. So I stumbled upon this very inexpensive sound solution, while looking for one. I'm quite happy with it, because the bass just blew me away with just 6 W, it has a total of 20. Not very much... at all, but surprisingly loud.Technical: http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?slg=ENG&cat=PC_AUDIO_CA&sct=MULTIMEDIA_SPEAKERS_21_SU&session=20080506184012_84.196.137.182&grp=PC_PRODUCTS_GR&ctn=SPA1300/00&mid=Link_ProductInformation&hlt=Link_ProductInformation
I got myself a camcorder for my masters, with which I needed to make my final art project that would ensure my graduation. I'm making art videos, whereas colour is absolutely crucial. So I bought this 3CCD of the ever reliable Panasonic brand within my student's budget. It's a great instrument as I like to call it.All technical specifications: http://www.panasonic.be/servlet/PB/menu/1247127_l6/index.html
